There is a HUGE dragonfly sitting on my lampshade here in the office. It's got something like a 4" wingspan and really pretty blue stripes down its thorax and abdomen.

I shall name him(her?) Clarence.

Clarence announced himself by flying under my desk and fluttering about in my lap, which was forthright but not a little horrifying. I much prefer him at arm's length.

Perhaps he will eat some of the mosquitoes in here!

I'm sitting here avoiding my FList and waiting for Theresa so we can watch Doctor Who. I didn't get in until nearly midnight last night so I decided to just wait for her and watch it today. I woke up at 6am this morning because I was so nervous. *checks watch again* Come on, Interstate traffic, be kind.

What's everyone else doing this Sunday morning? I'm still enjoying the fact that we didn't get arrested last night for our fireworks display. There is a reason certain fireworks are kept out of the hands of the general public. DAMN.

Tired. I slept too much, and I think I was dreaming every moment of sleep. From running through an empty manor from a cult wearing animal masks, to searching for mushrooms on a grassy hill on a campus I'd never been to before. Wait, no, I had been there before. Once, I think, and it was raining and dark, and the building I had class in was like one of my old college buildings, except it was inverted. Instead of going up stairs, you went down stairs, etc.

This time I was in a class with a few of my old students, plus a couple college professors, and just before class began, I walked up to a blonde chick who was either a TA or the professor, or an upperclassman, and told her that if this was a class on dreaming, shouldn't I be able to do anything now? It was a technique that sounded something like "triptych." And without changing her blank expression, she drew a long meat knife and tried to run me through. As I was pushing her back, I woke up.

It might be a little too smooth. Judging by the workout my backspace key is getting, probably so.

Andy's got a pizza in the oven, so I'll eat and counterbalance the effect. Then I'm going to take a shower and jump his bones share some together time with him.

The cable went back on (Olympic trials! Michael Phelps shown in the tiny swimsuit he wears under his body suit! And then in his really tight body suit! I'm worse than a cat in heat right now! Thank you, Speedo company!), so I didn't get laundry done. It's all washed and dried, though. Points for that.
